DUBAI,— A shipment containing 267,300 amphetamine pills was seized after the National Anti-Narcotics Authority and Dubai Police General Headquarters disrupted a smuggling attempt, the UAE state-run news agency reported.
The operation resulted from security cooperation between authorities in the United Arab Emirates and the Saudi Ministry of Interior through its General Directorate of Narcotics Control.
Authorities acted on intelligence shared between both sides and were able to stop the shipment before distribution could take place.
All individuals involved in the smuggling network were arrested. The suspects are citizens of an Arab country.
The National Anti-Narcotics Authority said the operation highlights ongoing efforts to prevent drug-related crimes and dismantle trafficking networks.
It said the outcome reflected strong operational coordination, effective field oversight, careful follow-up measures, and active information exchange with relevant regional and international authorities.
The Authority noted that these measures help reinforce systems designed to protect communities while supporting coordinated action against methods used in drug smuggling and trafficking.

The General Directorate of Narcotics Control at the Saudi Ministry of Interior said the Kingdom’s competent security agencies remain committed to continuous cooperation with fraternal countries.
The Directorate said that coordination focuses on monitoring and pursuing criminal activities that seek to target communities and youth through the promotion of narcotic substances.
It added that the seizure formed part of ongoing UAE-Saudi cooperation aimed at confronting narcotics threats and strengthening prevention and enforcement systems.
In April 2026, Dubai Police arrested Irish crime and drug boss Daniel Kinahan.
