When Crisis Strikes the Muslim World, Refugees Head to Europe. But Why Not to Wealthy Muslim Nations?
A video report in English from The Arrow YT Channel, June 6, 2026.
Every time war, revolution, or humanitarian disaster tears through a Muslim-majority country, millions of people abandon their homes.
Many risk their lives crossing open deserts and treacherous waters to reach the shores of Europe. Yet one question rarely surfaces in the public debate: If some of the wealthiest nations on the planet are Muslim countries, why do most Muslim refugees not go there?

Why do displaced families travel thousands of miles to reach Germany, Sweden, France, or the United Kingdom, rather than seeking safety in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, or Kuwait?
The answer, analysts say, has very little to do with faith.
It has almost everything to do with how different civilizations define citizenship, national belonging, immigration, and political power.
