SHARJAH,— Air Arabia said on Thursday it reported its financial and operational results for the year that ended December 31, 2025, posting a pre-tax net profit of AED 1.8 billion, ($490 million), the company said in a statement.

Air Arabia said this marked a 14 percent increase compared with AED 1.6 billion recorded in 2024. Total turnover for the year reached more than AED 7.78 billion, showing a 15 percent rise from AED 6.76 billion in the previous year.

After applying a 9 percent tax, net profit for the year stands at about AED 1.64 billion, or $446.5 million dollars.

During 2025, the airline continued to carry out its growth strategy across its six operating hubs. It added 30 new routes to its network.

The expansion led to a 10 percent increase in operational capacity. The total number of passengers carried by the group rose 16 percent to 21.8 million travelers.

The average seat load factor, which measures the percentage of available seats filled by passengers, increased by 4 percentage points to reach 85 percent.

The company said this reflects strong demand and the efficiency of its value-based operating model.

The Board of Directors proposed distributing dividends equal to 30 percent of share capital, or 30 fils per share. The proposal was made at a recent board meeting and will require approval by shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohamed Al Thani, Chairman of Air Arabia, said the airline’s 2025 results were driven by disciplined execution of its expansion plans and continued customer trust in its services.

He said the company maintained profitability while expanding its network, improving capacity use, and strengthening operational efficiency.

He added that the results demonstrate the strength of the airline’s business model and the work of its leadership team.

He also said the airline continued to invest in expanding its fleet and growing its network during the year, positioning the company for the next stage of development.

In the fourth quarter that ended December 31, 2025, the airline posted a net profit of AED 405 million. This was a 15 percent increase compared with AED 351 million in the same period a year earlier.

Total turnover in the fourth quarter rose 26 percent to AED 2.12 billion.

Passenger numbers during the quarter increased 22 percent, with more than 5.7 million passengers traveling across all hubs. The seat load factor for the quarter rose by 5 percentage points to reach 87 percent, reflecting continued demand for the airline’s services.

Air Arabia, founded in 2003 and based in Sharjah, is a low-cost carrier in the United Arab Emirates. It operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft.

The airline connects more than 200 destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, and Europe through its multi-hub network.

The company follows a cost-efficient business model designed to offer affordable fares to customers while maintaining strong operational performance.
