PARIS,— Air France said Monday it has extended the suspension of flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh until March 31, and services to Tel Aviv and Beirut until April 4.
The airline said the move follows security conditions at destinations and the closure of some airspaces, which forced it to keep routes halted.
Tensions in the Middle East rose after the United States and Israel carried out joint airstrikes against Iran on February 28, 2026.
Iran later launched hundreds of missiles and drones toward sites in the Gulf region.
According to the report, targets included major airports, seaports, hotels, residential areas, and oil facilities in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
Further details were not provided by airline.
Recent reports said the security situation in Dubai remains tense, with air defense systems intercepting missiles and drones aimed at the country, including seven ballistic missiles and 16 drones on March 23, according to authorities.
Authorities have kept air defenses on high alert, while temporary airspace closures and disruptions at Dubai International Airport have affected flight operations.
Airlines continue to adjust schedules, warning passengers of possible last minute changes as the situation develops.
