DUBAI,— Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, known as Empower and listed on the Dubai Financial Market, posted its strongest financial results in company history for 2025, the Emirates News Agency reported.
The district cooling provider said its annual revenue reached AED 3.419 billion, up 4.9 percent from 2024. The company also recorded net profits of AED 1.004 billion for 2025, a rise of 10.5 percent compared with the previous year.
Empower said profits attributable to its shareholders totaled AED 993.3 million, while total profit before tax stood at AED 1.103 billion, also increasing by 10.5 percent year on year.
The company described 2025 as a year of strong operational expansion. Total connected cooling capacity climbed to about 1.7 million refrigeration tonnes.
Meanwhile, contracted capacity rose by 11 percent to roughly 2 million refrigeration tonnes after Empower signed 186 new contracts during the year.
Ahmed bin Shafar, chief executive officer of Empower, said steady growth in revenue and earnings, together with a larger project portfolio and upgraded infrastructure, had strengthened the company’s role in Dubai’s urban development.
He said Empower had become a key partner in supporting sustainable city growth and a trusted provider of energy efficient district cooling services across the emirate.
Empower reported that its revenues and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation increased by 4.9 percent and 6.2 percent respectively in 2025 compared with 2024.
The number of buildings served by the company reached 1,747 by the end of 2025, a 7 percent increase from the previous year.
Empower also registered 26 percent more new customers than in 2024, bringing its total customer base to 156,000.
Digital payments continued to grow. Empower said it processed 979,051 bill payment transactions through its electronic platforms in partnership with banks and financial institutions, up 10 percent from the year before.
The company also approved 46,876 no objection certificate requests in 2025, marking a 10 percent increase from 2024.
Empower said these approvals help consultants and contractors move projects forward while reducing violations, damages and financial penalties and saving time for all parties involved.
