ABU DHABI,— Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC, known as TAQA, reported its financial results on Thursday for the year ended Dec. 31, 2025.
The company recorded full-year revenue of 54.8 billion dirhams, broadly in line with 2024, and net income of 7.5 billion AED dirhams, or about $2.042 billion, up 5.6 percent year-on-year, Emirates News Agency reported.
EBITDA reached 20.7 billion dirhams, compared with 21 billion dirhams in 2024. TAQA said the decrease was mainly due to non-recurring, non-cash charges in its Generation and oil and gas businesses.
TAQA is a government-controlled energy and utilities company based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It operates in power, water, and oil and gas sectors domestically and internationally.
Capital expenditure rose to 14.5 billion dirhams, a 48.4 percent increase from the previous year, reflecting investments in power, water, and transmission infrastructure, including the 1 gigawatt Al Dhafra Thermal Power Plant and other projects.
The company described 2025 as a year of focus and delivery, marked by transformative developments that strengthened its integrated model and expanded its global footprint across power, water, and networks.
Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment and Chairman of TAQA, said the results reflect the company’s commitment to building essential infrastructure while maintaining strong governance and financial discipline.
He added that TAQA aims to support energy and water security and strengthen networks for reliable delivery in the future.
Jasim Husain Thabet, Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, said TAQA’s gross generation capacity now exceeds 70 gigawatts, up from 24 gigawatts in 2020, with renewables accounting for 63.8 percent of the portfolio.
Over 40 percent of desalination capacity now uses reverse osmosis technology. He noted the company is progressing toward its 2030 target of 150 gigawatts of capacity, with two-thirds from renewables.
Following net income growth, TAQA’s Board proposed a fixed dividend of 1.5 fils per share for Q4 2025, and a variable dividend of 0.7 fils per share for full-year 2025, bringing the total dividend to 4.45 fils per share, compared with 4.25 fils in 2024.
The Board also proposed an updated dividend policy for 2026–2028, continuing with fixed and variable components, with the fixed dividend set to grow annually in line with the previous policy.
TAQA operates a diversified portfolio including power generation, water desalination, electricity and water transmission and distribution, and oil and gas exploration and production.
