ABU DHABI,— Tabreed, National Central Cooling Company PJSC, said Friday that it earned AED 2.46 billion in revenue in 2025, with a net profit of AED 465 million ($126.6 million), according to a company statement.
By the end of 2025, the company’s total connected capacity rose 19 percent from the previous year to 1.57 million Refrigeration Tonnes (RT). This growth was fueled by a combination of acquisitions and organic expansion.
Excluding mergers and acquisitions, connected capacity still grew 4.4 percent, near the upper end of Tabreed’s guidance. Organic additions reached 58,200 RT in 2025, the highest figure in five years, mainly due to new connections in the United Arab Emirates.
During the year, Tabreed commissioned three new greenfield plants and acquired five operational plants through PAL Cooling, bringing its total number of operating plants to 99.
Total consumption volumes fell slightly, by 1 percent year-on-year, reaching 2.62 billion RTH. The decline was attributed to colder weather conditions.
According to the statement Revenue for the year rose 1 percent to AED 2.46 billion, reflecting the stability of fixed capacity charges despite weaker consumption revenues from weather effects.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) grew by 1 percent to AED 1.27 billion, maintaining a margin of 51.6 percent, supported by operational efficiency and leverage.
Net profit of AED 465 million reflected the company’s ongoing operational performance while absorbing higher financing costs.
Dr. Bakheet Al Katheeri, Chairman of Tabreed, said 2025 brought significant strategic milestones that reinforced the company’s position for both medium- and long-term growth.
He added that acquiring PAL Cooling and securing the Palm Jebel Ali concession broadened Tabreed’s footprint in key markets and boosted its overall operational capacity.
The Board of Directors proposed a final dividend of 6.5 fils per share for the second half of 2025, bringing the total annual dividend to 13 fils per share.
The payout ratio represents 71 percent of 2025 normalized net profit, consistent with historical levels, even amid significant investment to support long-term growth.
Established in 1998, Tabreed has grown into one of the leading district cooling companies globally. Based in the UAE, the company designs, builds, owns, and operates custom cooling plants for developers and serves landmark sites including Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera, and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
The company continues to grow through projects and joint ventures, including a large-scale district cooling concession at Palm Jebel Ali in Dubai in partnership with Dubai Holding.
